Paris Hilton reminisces on ‘fun memories’ with Britney Spears

Paris Hilton has reminisced on “fun memories” she had with her close friend Britney Spears.

The hotel heiress has been friends with the pop star for nearly 20 years, and took to Twitter on Sunday to share a series of throwback photos with the singer.

She captioned the post: “🥰So many fun memories. 👯‍♀️.”

It comes amid Britney’s ongoing legal conservatorship battle, which Paris previously labelled “unfair”.

During a court hearing on June 23, Britney called for an end to her 13-year conservatorship, which she branded “abusive”.

The singer was placed under a conservatorship back in 2008 after she suffered an alleged breakdown.

A conservatorship is granted to those who are incapable of making decisions, such as people with mental disabilities.

The arrangement put her estate, financial assets, and some personal assets under the control of her father Jamie Spears, and lawyer Andrew Wallet – who resigned from the role early last year.

Last week, a judge denied Britney’s request to remove her father from his role overseeing her conservatorship.

Speaking on Andy Cohen Live about her friend’s conservatorship last year, Paris said: “I feel like if you are an adult, you should be able to live your life and not be controlled.”

“I think that maybe stems from me being controlled so much so I can understand how that would feel and I can’t imagine right now if that was still happening to me.”

“After just working your whole life and working so hard, she’s this icon and I just feel like she has no control of her life whatsoever and I just don’t think that’s fair.”

When asked if she speaks to Britney about the conservatorship, the socialite replied: “No, I don’t like bringing things up like that.”

“She is so sweet and so innocent and such a nice girl. We just talk about happy things. Music, fashion … fun things. I never like to bring up negative things and make people feel uncomfortable, so I’ve never talked about it with her.”
