Oprah Winfrey defends Meghan Markle: ‘She is being portrayed unfairly’

Oprah Winfrey has defended Meghan Markle – amid what she has called an “unfair” representation of her in the media.

The talk show host announced today that she and Prince Harry are co-creating a new documentary series for Apple TV.

Speaking about her relationship with the Royals, Oprah told CBS This Morning that she thinks Meghan has been portrayed wrongly.

“I think she is being portrayed unfairly, the people that know her, they would know that she is, not only, we perceive her of being; graceful and dynamic, in holding that position.

“But also has a warm, loving, giving heart,” she continued.

“I see all the crazy press around her. I think it’s really unfair. She actually does not read anything…which I think, that’s remarkable.

The author added that Meghan refuses to read news articles about herself.

“In spite of all the things that are going on, she does not read anything,” she said.

Since marrying Prince Harry Meghan has faced several rumors about her behavior, including an allegation that she made Kate Middleton cry, and that there were issues with Royal staff members.
