Olivia Newton-John has responded to “exaggerated” rumours of her ill-health.
The 70-year-old was originally diagnosed with cancer in 1992 and then again in 2013, before it spread to her spine last year.
While rumours that the singer only had “weeks” to live were spread by American and Australian news outlets recently, Olivia has taken to Twitter to assure fans that she’s doing “great”.

“Happy New Year everyone, this is Olivia Newton-John. I just want to say that the rumours of my death have been greatly exaggerated, to quote a very famous quote,” the Grease star said in a video.
“I am doing great and want to wish all of you the happiest, healthiest 2019 as possible,” she finished.
The video was also captioned: “Happy New Year! Here’s to a wonderful 2019! Love & light, Olivia”.
