O.J. Simpson has denied a long-time rumour that he is Khloe Kardashian’s real father.
The disgraced former football star, who was released from prison last year, responded to the claims when asked whether he owed Khloe any congratulations over her pregnancy news.
Speaking to TMZ in Las Vegas over the weekend, O.J. replied, “Well, for Bob [Robert Kardashian], God bless his soul, yeah. I don’t know for me. I don’t think for me I have nothing to do with it.”
“I would be proud … but trust me, I had nothing to do with it,” he added, while his daughter Sydney was seen laughing at the claims in the background.
“Khloe and the girls were all terrific girls when they were growing up, nice and terrific, and I think today they’re still nice and terrific, except they’ve kinda added sex appeal to their resumé,” he said, before adding, “I’m happy for ’em. Congratulations to her, but trust me, I have nothing to do with it.”
It’s long been rumoured that O.J. was Khloe Kardashian’s real father, as her mother Kris Jenner admitted to cheating on Robert in her memoir.
Robert and Kris were close friends with O.J. and his wife Nicole Brown, and they regularly went on family holidays together – before Nicole was tragically murdered in 1994.
The former sports star, who was nicknamed ‘The Juice’, was famously acquitted over claims he murdered ex-wife Nicole in a court case which was dubbed the ‘trial of the century’.
The trial saw a divorced Robert and Kris split between the two sides, as Robert famously served on O.J’s defense team, and Kris remained loyal to her deceased friend, Nicole.
Although O.J. was acquitted over claims he murdered his ex-wife, he was later sentenced to 33 years in prison for armed robbery for attempting to steal sports memorabilia in 2008.
When O.J. was released from jail last year, the rumour mill restarted as social media users mocked Khloe by claiming that her father was “coming home”.
