Nicola Peltz has broken her silence on her alleged feud with Victoria Beckham.
Following the actress’ wedding to the Spice Girl’s eldest son Brooklyn in April, reports began to emerge about alleged tension between Nicola and her famous mother-in-law.
In a new interview with Variety, Nicola finally addressed the rumours, admitting she thinks they stemmed from her not wearing a Victoria Beckham design on her wedding day.
The 27-year-old said: “I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress.”
Nicola, who ended up wearing Valentino Couture for her big day, added: “She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that.”
Brooklyn also shut down reports of a family feud, telling the publication: “I’ve learned they’re always going to try to write stuff like that. They’re always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good.”
Earlier this month, a source close to the Beckhams told Page Six that Nicola and Posh Spice were “feuding” even before the wedding.
“They can’t stand each other and don’t talk,” they claimed. “The build-up to the wedding was horrendous.”
The insider added that the actress didn’t want her mother-in-law “to be any part of the planning, and she wouldn’t clue Victoria in on anything. Communication was minimal.”
“They haven’t spoken to him much in the last few months,” they alleged.
