Angelina Jolie and The Weeknd are categorically “not dating”, according to a new report.
The 46-year-old actress and 31-year-old singer first sparked romance rumours in July, when they were papped leaving celebrity hotspot Giorgio Baldi in Los Angeles together.
Two months later, the pair were spotted leaving the same Italian restaurant last Saturday, after spending two and a half hours inside a private section there.
Angelina and The Weeknd are yet to publicly address the speculation surrounding their relationship, but a source has told E! News that they’re just friends.Â
The insider said: “They are not dating. They have mutual interests and are enjoying putting their ideas together to see what they can come up with.”
“They have been recently talking about partnering on a few humanitarian projects together. He loves talking about movies and the art form.”
A second source revealed:Â “The Weeknd and Angelina met through mutual friends in the film and entertainment industry.”
“They have a lot in common. They totally hit it off after their first meeting earlier this summer and have kept in touch ever since.”
The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, has been single ever since he split from on-off girlfriend Bella Hadid in 2019.
Meanwhile, Angelina hasn’t been linked to anyone since she separated from Brad Pitt in September 2016.
However, the actress was recently spotted hanging out with her ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller.
