Netflix officially FIRES Kevin Spacey from House of Cards

Netflix have said they will no longer work with Kevin Spacey on House of Cards, or in any other capacity.

The streaming network have released a statement, one week after the actor apologised for allegedly trying to seduce actor Anthony Rapp, when he was just 14.

Production on House of Cards had already been suspended on Tuesday, with the network saying they wanted to make sure staff were okay.

However, now the network have officially cut ties with the Oscar-winner.

“Netflix will not be involved with any further production of House of Cards that includes Kevin Spacey.

“We will continue to work with MRC (production company Media Rights Capital) during this hiatus time to evaluate our path forward as it relates to the show.

“We have also decided we will not be moving forward with the release of the film Gore, which was in post-production, starring and produced by Kevin Spacey.”

Gore was a biopic based on the life of writer Gore Vidal, and directed by Michael Hoffman.
