Kaitlynn Carter has opened up about her summer of love with Miley Cyrus.
Without naming the singer, the ex-wife of Brody Jenner discussed her sexuality and journey of self-discovery with Elle magazine.
She also described how she quickly fell in love with the Slide Away singer.
“This past July, I went on vacation with a female friend; the next thing I knew, I was in love with her,” she said.
“It wasn’t quite that simple, of course. But it also wasn’t very complicated, either.”
Both women had recently split from their retrospective husbands, Liam Hemsworth and Brody Jenner.
Kaitlynn also discussed the pressure to label her sexuality.
“I know I’m not alone in feeling pressure to explain or define myself in one way or another,” she said.
“In an era when Mark Ronson is lampooned for momentarily labeling himself sapiosexual, publicly defining one’s identity is not for the faint of heart.”
“But I relate to Mark’s sentiment: I also find myself attracted to people in a way that seems disconnected from sex and physical traits, and more connected to a person’s mind.”
