Meryl Streep and her Mammia Mia 2 co-star, Lily James, recently found out that they are cousins.
The actresses were found to be ninth cousins, three times removed, through an ancestor named Henry Howland.
Speaking to The Mirror, the 69-year-old said, “I love it. Absolutely wonderful news to hear I am in any way related to this delightful person.”
“What a kick to find we share jeans AND genes,” Meryl added.
Lily James plays the younger version of Meryl’s character Donna Sheridan in the Mamma Mia sequel.
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again hit Irish cinemas on 20th July.
