Melissa McCarthy smuggled sandwiches into Golden Globes to hand out to fellow guests

Melissa McCarthy smuggled sandwiches into the Golden Globes to hand out to fellow guests.

The actress brought thirty baguettes with ham into the awards ceremony and gave them to “everyone” at the event.

Melissa was even thanked on-stage by Olivia Colman, during her acceptance speech for ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy’.

The Favourite star began her speech by thanking the 48-year-old for the snack, as she said: “Thank you for the sandwiches.”

Melissa’s hilarious plan seemed to go down well with her fellow celebs, as Jessica Chastain told Variety that it was a “good idea.”

“I’ve been handing them out to everyone. Next year, I’m bringing hot dogs,” Melissa said.

“By the time you get into the ballroom dinner has already been served, and you’re always so hungry,” she explained.
