Meghan Markle sent a personal apology to her old classmates at Immaculate Heart High School, after she missed their 20-year reunion earlier this month.

The Duchess of Sussex was a pupil at Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles, before she left in 1999.

The reunion was held on May 5, just one day before she gave birth to her first child with Prince Harry.

According to DailyMailTV, Meghan sent an envelope marked ‘Kensington Palace’ to the reunion of the class of 1999, apologising for not being there.

A former friend said: “Everyone was disappointed that they did not get to catch up with Meghan given everything that has happened to her.”

“But the whole group was super excited about her giving birth to the first British-American prince, it was all anyone talked about.”

“They were so excited to get that letter from her. She is remembered as someone who is very thoughtful, and to get that kind of attention now that she is a Royal went down really well.”

“Hopefully she will be able to make it to the 25 year reunion and she is welcome to bring Harry and Archie along with her,” they added.

After attending the Immaculate Heart High School in LA, Meghan received a bachelor’s degree in Theatre and International Studies from Northwestern University School of Communication.

Of course, Meghan went on to pursue a career in acting, and found fame when she landed a role in the hit legal drama ‘Suits’.

However, the 37-year-old then gave up her career as an actress in 2017, when she confirmed her engagement to Prince Harry.
