Margot Robbie denies ‘crying’ over Cara Delevingne in viral paparazzi photos

Margot Robbie has denied she was “crying” over her friend Cara Delevingne in paparazzi photos of her that went viral back in September.

During a cover interview with Vanity Fair, the actress revealed what was really going on when the photos were taken.

The 32-year-old confirmed she was “not crying”, and said: “I had something in my eye. I’m trying to grab my face mask, trying to hold a coffee cup and I couldn’t get a hair outta my eye.”

The Australian star revealed her mother called to ask whether she and Cara were alright after the pictures went viral, and she replied, “Yes and yes.”

Margot also insisted she was “not at Cara’s house”, as previously speculated, and was actually “outside an Airbnb that [she] was renting for five days.”

The photos of Margot hit headlines back in September, as the actress appeared overcome with emotion in the snaps – just one week after her longtime friend Cara sparked concern.

A viral video showed the model smoking a pipe while sitting in a car, before displaying erratic behaviour at a Los Angeles airport.

At the time, a source told The Sun that Cara’s friends and family were “incredibly concerned” about her.

Margot has been close friends with Cara since they worked together on Suicide Squad back in 2016.
