Coldplay is celebrating frontman Chris Martin’s 40th birthday with the release of a brand new track, which is called Hypnotised.
The track, which arrived with a captivating lyric video directed by Mary Wigmore, is the first preview of the band’s five-track Kaleidoscope EP, which will be released on the 2nd of June.
According to Chris Martin himself, Hypnotised won’t necessarily be a single, as much as it simply the first offering from the EP.
The single follows last week’s release of Something Just Like This, Coldplay’s collaboration with The Chainsmokers.
Their collaboration with The Chainsmokers will also feature on the upcoming EP.
The EP will consist of 5 tracks, All I Can Think About Is You, Something Just Like This, Miracles 2, A L I E N S, and Hypnotised.
It was announced earlier this week that Coldplay will perform at a huge free concert in Germany this summer.
Joined by Ellie Goulding and Chainsmokers, the band will play at the Global Citizen Festival in Hamburg.
