Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have split after less than a year of marriage.
The couple, who have been on and off since 2009, after meeting on the set of The Last Song, have officially called it quits.
“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” a rep for Miley told PEOPLE magazine in a statement.
“Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers.
“They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
Fans had started to worry when Miley posted a photo on Saturday without her wedding ring.
The singer is currently on holiday with Brody Jenner’s wife Kaitlyn, just days after it was confirmed that they have also split.
So now it seems the stars are on a single girls trip.
Miley and Liam married in an intimate ceremony last December, weeks after they lost their home in the Malibu fires.
After their nuptials Miley admitted she felt they wouldn’t have got married if they hadn’t been through the trauma of losing their home.
“I’m not sure without losing Malibu, we would’ve been ready to take this step or ever even gotten married, who can say?,” she told Vanity Fair magazine.
“But the timing felt right and I go with my heart. No one is promised the next day, or the next, so I try to be in the now as much as possible.”
The couple originally got engaged in 2012 but called time on their relationship in 2014.
However the pair rekindled their romance in 2016 and were engaged once again.
