Lena Dunham praises magazine for leaving her cellulite on the cover

"Haters are gonna have to get more intellectual and creative with their disses in 2017"

Lena Dunham has thanked Glamour magazine for leaving her cellulite un-retouched on the cover.

The actress took part in a cover shoot for the magazine with her Girls co-stars.

The writer shared her thanks to Glamour in an emotional Instagram post, “Today this body is on the cover of a magazine that millions of women will read, without photoshop, my thigh on full imperfect display.

“Thank you to Glamour for letting my cellulite do the damn thing on news stands everywhere today.”

Lena, a feminist through and through, has always been very vocal about her views on body shaming.

In her podcast Woman’s Hour, she dedicated an entire episode to loving and accepting your body.

She said in the podcast, “I can make jokes about my body, show her off at her least glamorous. And you know why? Because it’s my body. I know her. I love her.

“It’s a real ‘nobody talks s**t about my mother except me’ situation.”
