Kristin Davis reveals how Sex and the City reboot will address Kim Cattrall’s absence

Kristin Davis has revealed how the Sex and the City reboot will address Kim Cattrall’s absence.

The HBO Max series, called ‘And Just Like That…’, will follow Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte York (played by Kristin) and Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) as they navigate love and friendship in their 50s.

Kim will not be reprising her role as Samantha Jones in the reboot, and Kristin has confirmed that fans will find out what happened to the fourth member of the original show’s friendship circle.

Speaking on Today, the actress said: “We love Samantha. Samantha is never not going to be a part in some way, so there is respect for Samantha.”

“It’s part of the story. We’d never disrespect Samantha.”

It comes after showrunner Michael Patrick King confirmed that Samantha would not be killed off in the reboot, telling The New York Times: “Nobody’s dead. Nobody.”

Teasing her character Charlotte’s storyline, Kristin said: “I can only say the things that I can say from the trailer because the secrecy is top notch.”

“I’m married to Harry, thankfully, and my two daughters have been growing up. They’re adorable. And with parenthood comes surprises.”

The highly anticipated 10 episode revival series will debut on December 9 in the US on HBO Max, and will also be available to watch on Sky Comedy and NOW in the UK and Ireland.
