Kris Jenner’s friend Lisa Stanley has revealed that the Kardashian family wanted Khloe to leave Tristan Thompson.
Days before she was due to give birth to their first child True, reports emerged that Tristan had cheated on Khloe with a number of women.
Despite the fact that Tristan’s cheating scandal hit headlines worldwide, Khloe chose to stick by the NBA player – and her family aren’t exactly thrilled.
Speaking on KIIS FM’s Celeb HQ this week, Lisa said “If Kris and the family had it their way, she probably would be leaving.”
“They’re not okay with this,” she continued. “This guy not only cheated on her it was on video and the world saw it, and she was humiliated, but she’s choosing to stay.”
“If all they had it their way, Tristan would just be the baby daddy. And be very much involved. Apparently he’s a good father.”
“She doesn’t want to look a fool. She was a fool once with Lamar, and she didn’t want to do it again.”
Lisa is referring to Khloe’s ex-husband Lamar Odom, who she divorced following a series of cheating rumours.
Lisa continued, “Khloe was always going to try make this work, for a plethora of reasons. The first reason is she has a child now, and she feels very connected to [Tristan] in that way. The second reason is she loves him. She clearly loves the man.”
On whether Khloe was ever thinking of leaving the NBA star, Lisa said, “The bottom line is she was never planning on leaving him.”
The family friends also confessed that Khloe and Tristan are currently in couples therapy and “trying hard” to rebuild their relationship.
“One thousand percent they are working through couples therapy, she’s working hard, he’s working hard, You can’t just earn trust back in two months,” she said.
Both Khloe and Tristan are yet to publicly discuss Tristan’s infidelities, but the new mother is reportedly set to spill the beans on the new series of KUWTK.
