Kim Kardashian got emotional at the launch of her brand new makeup collection over the weekend.
The 37-year-old has collaborated with her long-time makeup artist and friend Mario Dedivanovic for their new KKW x Mario collection.
To celebrate the launch, Kim and Mario invited a host of celebrities and beauty gurus to French restaurant Jean-Georges in Beverly Hills, and Kim got teary eyed while paying tribute to Mario in her speech.
“I really am grateful that you guys came to see me and Mario. I feel like this has been 10 years in the making. Everything I’ve learned about makeup has come from Mario,” Kim said in her speech.
“You literally have taught me everything,” she said, getting emotional. “You opened up this whole world of glam for me that I will never forget.”
For the launch, Kim wore a sleeveless black gown with embellished straps, which she paired with the KKW x Mario blue Libra eye shadow, and the peach Classic K lipstick from the collection.
Attendees at the bash included Kim’s mum Kris Jenner, Orange Is the New Black star Laverne Cox, YouTube stars Gigi Gorgeous and James Charles, and many more.
The KKW x Mario beauty collection launches on April 5, which is a particularly special date for Kim and Mario as the pair met exactly ten years ago on that date.
In an emotional Instagram post in the run up to the launch, Mario revealed how he first met Kim, and admitted that he was told never to work with her because she would “ruin his career”.
