Kim Kardashian has defended her husband Kanye West, after he was called out for being on his phone during The Cher Show.
The couple attended the opening night of the hit musical, but during the show, a cast member tweeted Kanye asking him to “look up from” his cell phone.
The rapper has since apologised for his “lack of etiquette”, and now Kim has defended her man by explaining the real reason why he was on his phone.
Kim told Entertainment Tonight: “Honestly, he was on his phone taking notes. He definitely wanted to apologize for being on his phone because he’s like, I get it, I’m a performer and I love people when they are in the moment.”
She continued: “But he was, like, taking stage notes and taking things on his phone, so I get it. He was like, ‘I’m going to work on my etiquette.’ But he loved the show.”
The reality star has always been a huge fan of Cher, and even shed a tear during the show.
“I actually cried at one point. and I had this makeup on, and I’m, like, trying to not let the tears come down. It was really sad,” she confessed. “She said so much about her life and was so open and shared so much, she is half Armenian, and I’m half Armenian, and so her story of how she felt out of place… I always just connect with Cher. I’m the biggest Cher geek.”
Proving her love for Cher, Kim has previously paid homage to the legendary singer by recreating her iconic outfits, and even dressed up as ‘Sonny and Cher’ with her BFF Jonathan Cheban last Halloween.
