Kim Kardashian has come under fire for making “problematic” comments made about her weight.
The 37-year-old attended a poker tournament in aid of City of Hope, a non-profit cancer treatment and research centre, over the weekend.
At the event, Kim flaunted her trim figure on social media, and revealed to her followers that she now weighs “119 pounds”.
Her sisters Kendall and Khloe were also at the event, and praised their sister’s appearance, with Kendall telling Kim, “You look so skinny.”
Kim’s sister Khloe seemed to agree with Kendall, and said, “I’ve never seen a skinnier person in my life.”
In a series of posts on Instagram, Khloe and her friend Malika questioned what the mother-of-three was eating to lose so much weight, and said that her diet probably consists of “celery, lettuce” and “different flavours of oxygen.”
The sisters have since come under fire for praising Kim, and for saying that it looks like she “doesn’t eat”.
Kim was slammed for sending out an unhealthy message to her 114 million Instagram followers, and many took to social media to express their concern.
I’m so angry. One of the most influential woman in the world has first advertised an appetite suppressant, now this. Fun fact: when I had conversations with friends concerned that I wasn’t eating and that I’d lost weight, my first response was certainly not “OMG THANK U!!!!!”

Kim Kardashian’s story about being skinny is so wrong ? Looks like you haven’t been eating ?? That’s not something to promote on your social media , You shouldn’t be influencing people not too eat so that they can “look good”????

Waking up to @KendallJenner, @khloekardashian and @KimKardashian on instagram stories joking about how good it looks to ‘not eat’ and be skinny makes me so so angry. This is a constant from them. This is not ok!! #iweigh

This isn’t the first time the reality star has come under fire for promoting an unhealthy message to her followers.
The KUWTK star was recently criticised for promoting a diet lollipop on her Instagram.
