Kim Kardashian broke down in tears on the third episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, after her ex Kanye West gifted her recovered footage of her infamous sex tape.
The reality star was launched into the spotlight back in 2007, after her sex tape with her ex-boyfriend Ray J was leaked online.
In September 2021, Ray J’s former manager Wack 100 said he had “part two” of their sex tape, which panicked the mother-of-four.
The 41-year-old enlisted the help of her lawyer Marty Singer to handle the situation, but before she took any serious legal action – Kanye decided to take matters into his own hands.
Hours before Kim was set to host Saturday Night Live in NYC for the first time, Kanye flew to LA and back again where he obtained a hard drive, computer tower and monitor from her former boyfriend.
In the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kim was getting ready to host SNL when she called her family and friends to her hotel room.
When they got to the room they were surprised to see Kim’s ex-husband Kanye, and her mother Kris Jenner said: “I haven’t seen you in forever!”
The 44-year-old explained that he had just come from the airport, and said: “I had to go to LA and come back. I just traveled to get something for Kim.”
After Kris said, “You are something else. What did you get?” Kanye replied, “That’s what she wants to show you.”
The former couple then revealed a large black roller bag, and Kim said through tears: “So Kanye flew home last night and he came back this morning and I wanna show you guys what he got me.”
Kim unzipped the bag revealing a computer tower, monitor and hard drive, and told her friends and family: “He got me all of the sex tape back.”

“He got me the computer it was on, the hard drive and met up with Ray J at the airport and got it all back for me.”
Clearly stunned by Kanye’s gesture, Kris said: “Oh my god. That’s amazing.”
In a confessional, Kim explained: “I know Kanye did this for me but he also did this for my kids.”
“I want to shield them from as much as I can, and if I had the power to, or if Kanye has the power to, that is just the most important thing to me and I’m just so emotional because of it and it just means a lot to me.”
After comforting Kim, Kris said to Kanye: “Thank you for Kanye and for his unbelievable way he does things and the ability to get something done. And probably a big, fat, huge check. So, we’re all very grateful.”
However, Kanye made it clear that he did not pay for the hard drive by saying: “Oh, definitely not no check. We’re not getting extorted ever again.”
Kim also revealed in a confessional that the unreleased footage didn’t contain anything sexual.
“I watched it. It was just footage of us at a restaurant, at a night club, nothing sexual, nothing weird,” she said.
“And so now I can take a deep breath and not worry about this right before SNL, right before the bar, right before like everything.”
Kim and Kanye, who split last February, share four children together – North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2.
