Khloe Kardashian rejected her ex Tristan Thompson’s offer to pay for their daughter True’s 4th birthday party.
On the latest episode of The Kardashians, which is available to stream on Disney+ now, it was revealed that the NBA star wanted to cover the cost of the cat-themed celebration as he was unable to attend due to a basketball game.
Kris Jenner informed Khloe of the offer, telling the Good American founder: “Tristan called me and he said that he privately went ahead and took care of the whole party.”
Khloe replied: “That’s nice but I won’t let that happen.”
Kris then said: “He was so excited to do it. You should let him do that. He wanted to do that for her for her birthday.”
But Khloe remained firm on her stance, telling her momager: “And I’m so excited that I could do it all by myself.”
In a confessional, the 38-year-old further explained: “I work really hard to do elaborate things for True and I don’t need anyone’s help.”
In the same episode, Khloe explained that she hadn’t seen Tristan since around December, which is the month that he welcomed a child with personal trainer Maralee Nichols – who filed a paternity lawsuit against him.
Khloe admitted:Â “I don’t know if Tristan was here today, if that would add more stress to me. We do co-parent really well but I haven’t seen Tristan in person since before Christmas time.”
The reality star started dating Tristan in 2016, but their relationship hit the rocks when the NBA star was accused of cheating – just days before Khloe gave birth to their daughter True in April 2018.
She controversially decided to stand by Tristan, but less than one year later, he was caught kissing family friend Jordyn Woods at a house party in February 2019.
Khloe dumped the basketball player for good, but she decided to give their relationship another chance in 2020 – after they grew close during lockdown.
Months later, the couple split again in June 2021 after Tristan was accused of cheating with Instagram model Sydney Chase, but the pair reconciled towards the end of the year.
Just weeks later, it was revealed that Tristan fathered a child with personal trainer Maralee Nichols, which put an end to his relationship with Khloe once and for all.
But just days before the paternity scandal came to light, Khloe and Tristan completed the final step in their vitro fertilization process with an embryo transfer, and their surrogate became pregnant with their second child.
The former couple’s second child, a baby boy, was born at the end of July.
It was recently revealed that Khloe and Tristan were secretly engaged before their split, after he proposed last February.
