Kendall Jenner publicly shamed by New York bar – but why?

A New York bar has publicly shamed multi-millionaire Kendall Jenner, after she refused to leave them a tip.

Brooklyn-based hotspot, Baby’s All right, shared a picture of the famous reality star’s receipt on Instagram.

The picture shows a $24 bill, which the 21-year-old signed and paid with her credit card, however, the tip section has been left blank.

Posting the picture online, the bar’s staff reminded their followers, “Don’t forget to tip your bartender.”

Don’t forget to tip your bartender 🙂

While some slammed the model for not leaving a tip, most have defended Kendall, and blasted the bar for sharing her signature.

“How do we know she didn’t leave the tip in cash? It is shameful that you would even post her receipt to try and smear her,” one person commented, while another wrote, “I am pretty sure that publishing someones signature for the entire world to see is a breach in data protection laws unless the USA does not have such laws.

“You’re so professional……. this says more about your establishment than it does @kendalljenner .. tips are not mandatory, doesn’t matter who you are – if you don’t want to leave a tip then you don’t have to. Maybe she didn’t like the service?” another person wrote.

Service charge is voluntary in America, even when it’s added to your bill, however,  under federal law the minimum wage for tipped employees like bartenders and waitresses is just $2.13 per hour.
