Katy Perry takes top spot on Forbes’ highest-paid women in music 2018 list

Katy Perry took the top spot on Forbes’ highest-paid women in music in 2018 list.

Beyoncé was in the top spot last year, but missed out to the ‘Swish Swish’ singer by $20 million, while Taylor Swift was behind Katy by just $3 million.

It must be noted that Forbes’ research came after the 34-year-old’s stadium tour, which saw her rake in over $1 million per night.

However, the list was compiled before Taylor and Beyoncé’s 2018 tours, which may have seen the two artists overpass Katy by several million dollars.

P!nk placed third on the list, followed by Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez.

In seventh place is Rihanna, who earned $37.5 million through her music and acting career, as well as her Fenty Beauty and Savage Lingerie brands.

Russian-German singer, Helene Fischer is the eighth highest-paid female artist, while Celine Dion is the ninth and Britney Spears took the tenth and final spot on the list.

Some huge stars such as Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey, Selena Gomez and Madonna, did not place on the list.
