Katy Perry has shown off the gifts she has received from Beyoncé and Lionel Richie after welcoming her newborn daughter.
The singer welcomed her first child last week with fiancé Orlando Bloom, and the newborn is already being spoilt by her parent’s famous friends.
The 35-year-old took to her Instagram Stories to share snaps of stunning gifts she received, with Beyoncé sending a beautiful bouquet of white flowers – including lilies and roses.
“Congratulations on the new addition to your family,” Beyoncé signed the card – to which Katy Perry wrote: “Ily @beyonce”.
The breathtaking floral display pays homage to Katy and Orlando’s choice of baby name, also inspired by a flower – Daisy Dove Bloom.
Meanwhile, Lionel Richie and his girlfriend Lisa Parigi sent over a unicorn dressing gown – along with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Champagne.
“Thank you uncle @lionelrichie & auntie @lisaparigi,” Katy wrote alongside the photo.
Katy and Orlando shared the news of their daughter’s birth with UNICEF, the organisation they serve as Goodwill Ambassadors for.
The couple shared a black and white image of their hands alongside their daughters, who they named Daisy Dove Bloom – writing: “We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter.”
The Hollywood stars left an important message alongside the news: “But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was.
“Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes. Since COVID-19 many more newborn lives are at risk because of the increased lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases.”
“As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever.
“As UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors, we know UNICEF is there, on the ground, doing whatever it takes to make sure every expecting mother has access to a trained health worker and access to quality healthcare.
