Katy Perry has revealed she wanted twins before welcoming her daughter Daisy.

The singer welcomed her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom back in August, who they named Daisy Dove.

The 36-year-old is currently a judge on American Idol, and watched siblings Liahona and Ammon perform on Sunday night’s show.

The teenagers revealed they were born “exactly one year apart”, with judge Luke Bryan responding: “That means a lot of recovery [time],” referring to the their mom.

Katy admitted: “I used to wish for twins, and then I finally had a child, and I go, [that’s] crazy.”

The news comes after the songstressed opened up about motherhood and gushed over her “incredible” fiancé Orlando.

During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Katy was asked if she has been getting much sleep since welcoming her daughter.

“Yeah, I have family and support and I’ve got an incredible fiancé who has done this before,” she replied.

“He has a 10-year-old son so as much as I was little bit like, ‘I don’t need to hear all of those stories’, they actually helped,” she admitted.

“He’s been amazing, incredible and we’re so in love and we’re so grateful.”
