Kanye West and Kid Cudi’s ‘Kids See Ghosts’ album listening party delayed due technical difficulties

Kanye West and Kid Cudi have released their album but their listening party suffered serious technical difficulties.

The ‘Kids See Ghosts’ launch was meant to be live-streamed but issues with the platform it was being streamed on led to a three-hour delay.

Wav was meant to stream the event from 8:00pm PST (4:00am BST) but didn’t begin working until 10:45pm PST (6:45am BST). Frustrated fans took to social media to vent their grievances about the delay.

The rapper wore a ‘Kids See Ghosts’ jacket to the launch party as he celebrated the release of the new music with collaborators, friends and family.

Kanye released his eighth studio album ‘Ye’ with a listening party in Wyoming. The owner of the ranch he hosted the event in has since banned rappers from holding events there due to complaints.

Pusha T makes an appearance on the album. Kanye recently produced his album ‘Daytona’. The cover artwork for this album was a drug-strewn photo of the late Whitney Houston’s bathroom. Her family branded the decision to use that image “disgusting”.

Mos Def also appears on the album and West samples Kurt Cobain’s ”Burn The Rain” on the last track.

Takashi Murakami designed the album art which was released online earlier this week.

He has worked with Kanye for a longtime and attended the listening party.

Kanye is producing a massive amount of albums at the moment.

He released his own, ‘Ye’, last week and Pusha T’s album ‘Daytona’ just before that.

West is producing albums for Nas and Teyana Taylor at the moment too which are expected to be released in the coming weeks.

Family stick together. #kanyewest
