Justin Timberlake shows his support for Britney Spears after her court testimony

Justin Timberlake has shown his support for Britney Spears after her court testimony.

On Wednesday, Britney addressed the court directly for the first time in her conservatorship battle, where she made a number of shocking allegations against her family and her management.

Justin, who dated the pop star from 1999 until 2002, took to Twitter after the court hearing to publicly support his ex.

He wrote: “After what we saw today, we should all be supporting Britney at this time.”

“Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long ago it was… what’s happening to her is just not right. No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about her own body.”

“No one should EVER be held against their will… or ever have to ask permission to access everything they’ve worked so hard for.”

“Jess and I send our love, and our absolute support to Britney during this time,” the singer added, referring to his wife Jessica Biel.

“We hope the courts, and her family make this right and let her live however she wants to live.”

Britney spoke to Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny about the conservatorship, which was established in 2008 after she suffered an alleged breakdown.

In a passionate statement, the pop singer said: “I’ve lied and told the whole world, ‘I’m OK and I’m happy.’ It’s a lie… I am not happy, I can’t sleep. I’m so angry, it’s insane. And I’m depressed. I cry every day.”

“My dad and anyone involved in this conservatorship, including my management… they should be in jail.”

“The last time I spoke to you [the judge] … made me feel like I was dead. I am telling you again because I am not lying… so maybe you can understand the depth and the degree and the damages… I deserve changes,” she said, according to The Independent.
