Justin Bieber shares photos from his joint baptism with wife Hailey

Justin Bieber has shared photos from “one of the most special moments” of his life – his joint baptism with wife Hailey.

The singer revealed that they had taken part in the religious rite together, sharing snaps from the occasion to Instagram on Wednesday.

“The moment @haileybieber my wife and I got baptized together!” he wrote.

“This was one of most special moments of my life,” the 26-year-old revealed, “Confessing our love and trust in Jesus publicly with our friends and family.”

Religion has always played a big role in Justin and Hailey’s relationship, after they connected during a church service in New York.

“We ended up being at this church conference together in Miami, and it was the first time we’d seen each other in a while,” Hailey told ELLE.

“I remember we were hanging out and I was like, ‘Listen, I’m really, really happy for us to be friends again. I want us to always be cool and be friends.’ He was like, ‘Yeah, here’s the thing: We’re not going to be friends.’ And I was like, ‘Oh. Is that so?’”

“Being able to share that with each other—to have that bond of faith and spirituality—is so [critical] for us. It’s the most important part of our relationship, following Jesus together, being a part of the church community together. It’s everything,” Hailey added.

Justin also previously opened up about his spirituality and how he was letting his faith guide him into the “next step” of his relationship with the model.

“I want to start my own family, in due time,” he told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, “I want to enjoy being married for a little bit, go on tour, be married, enjoy travelling with just us, build more of our relationship.”

When asked what type of father he’d become, Justin responded: “I’m a Jesus follower and I just want to be led by … When you accept Jesus, he says that now you walk with the Holy Spirit. So, I think I just want to be led by the Holy Spirit.”

In a past interview with Vogue magazine, Justin said he and his new bride waited to have sex until their wedding night after making a vow to God.
