Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’s recent reunion delighted fans all over the world, but many wondered why the pair decided to spend Thanksgiving apart.
In recent weeks, the newly-reunited couple have been inseparable, and have been spotted out and about together on a number of occasions.
Although the pair have officially reconciled, it has now been revealed that Selena’s family are still “getting comfortable” with Justin being back in Selena’s life.
A source told E! News, “They both spent Thanksgiving with their families. Justin went to Canada and Selena was in Texas. They are still doing really well together, but they agreed it was best for them to be with their families for the holiday.”
“Selena felt it was too soon for Justin to come to Texas with her. Her family is still getting comfortable with the idea of them back together.”
“Justin says he hopes he can spend Christmas with her but knows that it will take a very long time for her family to accept him back in,” the source said.
“They don’t want to date anyone else. They both are very committed to making this work. Justin and Selena have grown up since the last time they were together.”
“He’s trying to change and be a better guy. We’ll see what happens. Justin is changing but it’s a process. He’s trying.”
