Jeremih is still in a critical condition, amid his battle with COVID-19.

Over the weekend, TMZ reported that the singer was in hospital after contracting the coronavirus.

The 33-year-old, whose real name is Jeremy Felton, is currently on a ventilator in an intensive care unit.

A representative has since told Deadline: “The COVID-19 condition he’s experiencing is rare for a young man his age without underlying conditions.”

“There’s no shame in contracting COVID-19, and people that have it need to be responsible and considerate of others Everyone diagnosed with COVID-19 is affected differently.”

“Unfortunately for Jeremih, COVID-19 viciously attacked his body.”

After Jeremih’s hospitalisation hit headlines over the weekend, a host of stars took to social media to send him well wishes.

Big Sean tweeted: “Prayers up, praying for your strength @Jeremih.”

Fellow Chicago native Chance the Rapper tweeted: “Please if you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he’s ill right now.

“I believe in the healing power of Jesus so if you can for me please please say a prayer over him.”

Rapper 50 Cent took to Instagram to share a photo with Jeremih, writing: “pray for my boy Jeremih he’s not doing good this covid sh*t is real. he’s in ICU in Chicago.”
