Jennifer Lawrence and Darren Aronofsky have reportedly decided to split, due to the impracticalities of their 20 year age gap.
The 27-year-old actress started dating the 48-year-old director while filming Mother! – however, after a year of dating the couple realised their age gap was too much.
Once filming wrapped, the couple were forced to reflect on the future of their relationship, and they soon realised that it wasn’t going to work.
“There is a huge age difference, and they are different people. Each has to look practically to the future,” an insider told People.
“Jen has yet to figure out her life and how it will evolve. He has responsibilities in life that she has yet to experience. Each was infatuated with the other.
“She was attracted to his brilliance and education, and he was in awe of her talent and personality.
“They have amazing respect for each other given the huge age gap, but other things were not on the same level,” the source added.
