Jennifer Garner reveals why Mark Ruffalo nearly quit ’13 Going On 30′

Jennifer Garner has revealed why Mark Ruffalo nearly quit ’13 Going On 30′.

The story follows Jenna, played by Jennifer, a teenager who dreams of escaping the social pressures and humiliation of middle school.

With the help of some “wishing dust,” she finds herself transformed overnight into a glamorous career woman who seems to have everything Jenna ever wanted — except her childhood best friend Matt (Ruffalo).

The rom-com was filmed back in 2004, and is still much-loved to this day.

Speaking on Skimm’s Texting With digital series, Jennifer revealed her co-star was close to quitting the movie because of the iconic dance scene.

She recalled: “We started to learn the dance. Our first rehearsal I think it was like Mark [Ruffalo], Judy [Greer], and me, and Judy and I were both dancers growing up, and poor Mark didn’t know that and he came in and he hated the rehearsal process so much he almost dropped out of the movie.”

The pair have teamed up for another film together, The Adam Project, and shared an epic ’13 Going On 30′ reunion snap from the set last month.

Mark posted the photo on Instagram, alongside the caption: “Reconnecting with an old pal. Anyone know where we can get Razzles in Canada?”

Jennifer also posted the same picture, alongside the caption, “Wishing dust worked! And I got a perfect day with my old pal.”
