Jay-Z responds to reports that he slammed Kanye West in new track

Looks like they're not feuding after all...

Jay-Z has insisted that he wasn’t dissing Kanye West in a new track.

On Friday, fans went into a frenzy when Jay appeared to slam Kanye for his support of Donald Trump in his verse on ‘What’s Free’, which he collaborated on with Meek Mill and Rick Ross.

The song is a spin on Notorious B.I.G.’s 1997 classic ‘What’s Beef’, and on the track, Jay seems to mock Kanye for wearing ‘Make America Great Again’ hats.

He raps, “No red hat, don’t Michael and Prince me and Ye / They separate you when you got Michael and Prince’s DNA, uh / I ain’t one of these house n***as you bought / My house like a resort, my house bigger than yours.”

However, Jay has since taken to Twitter to clarify his lyrics, tweeting, “The line clearly meant don’t pit me against my brothers no matter what our differences are (red hat) now go pick up Meek album. Drake and Meek on there together.”

The rare tweet also marks the first time Jay has posted on Twitter since June 2017.

In response, Kanye teased fans by suggesting a sequel to ‘Watch the Throne’, the pair’s joint album from 2012.

Kanye and Jay have had a rocky relationship over the past few years, but it took a turn for the worst when Jay and Beyoncé didn’t attend Kanye’s wedding to Kim Kardashian back in 2014.

However, two months ago Kanye seemed to suggest their feud was over, as he posted a picture of Jay-Z and Beyoncé on Instagram, calling them “famleeeeee.”
