Jay-Z responds to cheating rumours and apologises to Beyoncé on new album

Jay-Z has responded to cheating rumours, and apologies to Beyoncé on his new album 4:44.

The title song 4:44 appears to have references to cheating, seemingly tying it into the themes of Beyoncé‘s  latest album Lemonade.

The couple have been married for almost 10 years, but their relationship was the subject of worldwide speculation after lyrics in Beyoncé’s album Lemonade appeared to accuse her husband of being unfaithful.

Jay-Z’s opening lyrics in new track 4:44 are an apparent apology to Beyoncé. “Look, I apologize, often womanize.”

Fans were quick to notice the similarities on Beyoncé’s song Sorry and Jay’s 4:44.

On Beyoncé’s Sorry she sings: “Me and my baby, we gon’ be alright / We gon’ live a good life.”

On  4:44 Jay-Z raps: “If my children knew, I don’t even know what I would do / If they ain’t look at me the same, I would prolly die with all the shame / You did what with who? What good is a ménage à trois when you have a soulmate, you risked that for Blue?”

Beyoncé caused a nationwide search to find out who the real ‘Becky’ was when she referenced the character in her song ‘Sorry’.

Beyoncé’s Sorry lyric alludes to a woman her husband is cheating with: “He only want me when I’m not there / He better call Becky with the good hair.”

Jay appears to respond to those lyrics in his new song Family Feud: “Yeah, I’ll fuck up a good thing if you let me / Let me alone Becky!”

On the song Kill Jay-Z the rapper appears to reference the infamous altercation in an elevator with Beyoncé’s sister Solange after the 2014 Met Gala.

“You egged Solange on/Knowin’ all along, all you had to say you was wrong.”

On the Lemonade track Hold Up Beyoncé sings: “Never had the baddest woman in the game up in your sheets.”

On Jay-Z’s new track Kill Jay-Z he seemingly responds with the lyrics: “You almost went Eric Benét / Let the baddest girl in the world get away.”

The couple have recently welcomed twins, with the rapper referencing them in his song 4:44: “Took for these natural twins to believe in miracles / Took me too long for this song.”
