Jamie Lee Curtis SLAMS Fiji Water Girl ‘PR stunt’ at Golden Globes

Jamie Lee Curtis slammed the ‘Fiji Water Girl PR stunt’ at the Golden Globes.

The actress hit out at the water company, after a model working for them went viral by photobombing huge stars on the red carpet.

The 60-year-old was one of the many celebs to be snapped unknowingly with the ‘water girl’ and she has hit out at Fiji for the suspected PR stunt.

Jamie shared a snap of herself, with the model in the background, as the photo was pre-captioned: “Jamie Lee Curtis was in danger of being upstaged by the Fiji Water Girl.”

The actress was clearly not happy about the caption or the fact that she was photographed with the model, and wrote: “So, my husband, who doesn’t look at a lot of show business news sites, just mentioned that I was on the CNN website.”

“I specifically moved away from the blatant promotions by Fiji and Moet where young women with their trays filled with their wares stood near a designated camera.”

The actress claimed that she tried to move away from the model, as she didn’t want to be advertising the beverage: “I knew why there was a photographer poised there and I moved away as I said out loud that I didn’t want to be doing advertising for either.

“Clearly this angle shows that I moved from her being behind me and yet from the side it still happens. The sponsors of events need to get permission from people when they get them to take their picture next to products,” she continued.

The Fiji Water Girl became a viral sensation within hours, when fans spotted her photobombing celebrities such as Jim Carrey and Idris Elba.

The company have been regularly tweeting about the model since the Golden Globes, but have not responded to Jamie’s comments.
