James Franco was erased from Vanity Fair’s star-studded Hollywood cover, after a number of women publicly accused him of sexual misconduct.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor was photographed by Annie Leibovitz for the special edition, but he was digitally erased from the final picture following the allegations.

A spokesperson for Vanity Fair said, “We made a decision not to include James Franco on the Hollywood cover once we learned of the misconduct allegations against him.”

The news comes after the 39-year-old was snubbed from the Oscar nominations this year, despite being hotly tipped for a nod.

The Disaster Artist star has come under fire after five women accused him of sexual misconduct in an exposé in the Los Angeles Times – allegations he has since described as “not accurate”.

While there was no Franco, Vanity Fair’s annual fold-out featured Reese Witherspoon, Oprah Winfrey, Nicole Kidman, Tom Hanks, Zendaya, Michael B. Jordan, Jessica Chastain, Claire Foy, Michael Shannon, Harrison Ford, Gal Gadot and Robert De Niro.

The cover has attracted a lot of attention, due to some major photoshop errors.

People were quick to point out that it looks like Reese Witherspoon has three legs, and Oprah Winfrey has three hands in another image.
