It has been revealed that Vince Vaughn was turned down for the role of Joey in the hit sitcom Friends.
The casting director for the NBC sitcom turned him down for the part.
Instead, the actor went on to star for director Doug Liman in the indie hit Swingers with Jon Favreau and Ron Livingston.
And, of course, Matt LeBlanc got the part in Friends.

Swingers was released in 1996 and led to Vince being cast in Steven Spielberg’s The Lost World: Jurassic Park released the following year and the remake of Hitchcock’s Psycho in 1998.
He has worked in movies ever since.
Meanwhile, Matt starred as Joey for 10 seasons until the show’s end in 2004, and then played the character for two seasons in the short-lived spin-off Joey.
