Hit 90s show Beverly Hills, 90210 is getting a revival

Hit 90s show Beverly Hills, 90210 is set for a revival – but with a major twist.

This will be the second revival of the hit series, following the CW’s 90210 – which ran from 2008 – 2013.

The new series will see some of the original cast members return, including Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green, Gabrielle Carteris, and Tori Spelling.

However, according to Variety, the actors won’t actually be playing the same characters from the original show – as they’ll be playing ‘heightened versions of themselves.’

The new 90210 will see the actors reuniting as ‘themselves’ 19 years after the original show, and attempting to revive the series.

The original show first aired in 1990, and ran for an impressive 10 seasons.

The series inspired two spin-off shows – Melrose Place in 1992, and the CW’s 90210 in 2008.

The new series is set air on Fox, who also made the original version.
