Harry Styles ‘makes surprise appearance’ in new Marvel movie

WARNING: Huge spoilers ahead for Marvel’s The Eternals.

It looks like Harry Styles has added yet another string to his bow by joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to some unconfirmed reports from the premiere of Marvel’s The Eternals on Monday night, the former 1D star made a surprise appearance in a post-credit scene.

Variety’s Matt Donnelly spilled the beans on Twitter, by tweeting: “Big reveal from #TheEternals premiere — Harry Styles has joined the MCU as Eros, brother of Thanos.”

Thanos, a genocidal warlord from Titan, was played by Josh Brolin in the last two Avengers movies, and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Variety editor Marc Malkin also reported that the audience “squealed” when Harry appeared on screen at the premiere.

On Monday night, he tweeted: “When Harry Styles shows up in the MCU. Audience squealed.”

Fans are already speculating Harry’s character is inspired by Eros, the Greek god of love and sex.

Since One Direction disbanded in 2016, the 27-year-old has pursued a successful solo career, and made his debut as an actor.

His first role was in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk back in 2017, and he’s since landed major roles in two upcoming films – Don’t Worry Darling and My Policeman.
