Gwyneth Paltrow ‘pushed’ ex-husband Chris Martin to reunite with Dakota Johnson

The pair recently reunited after briefly splitting up

Gwyneth Paltrow reportedly “pushed” her ex-husband Chris Martin to reunite with Dakota Johnson – after the pair briefly split this summer.

Back in June, the Coldplay frontman and the Fifty Shades actress allegedly called time on their romance.

However, the pair were recently spotted looking loved-up on Long Island beach, proving their relationship is definitely back on.

A source has since told Us Weekly: “Gwyneth is the one who pushed them to do it. Gwyneth is happy if Chris is happy, she only wants the best for him.”

It’s no secret that Gwyneth is a big fan of Dakota, and the Goop founder loves how Dakota gets on with their two kids daughter Apple, 15, and Moses, 12.

Back in April, Gwyneth and Dakota both attended Derek Blasberg’s birthday dinner, and posed for a cosy snap together.

In a photo posted on Instagram, Derek poked fun at Gwyneth and Chris’ famous “conscious uncoupling” statement, as he captioned the post: “Consciously throupling.”

At the time, a source told E! News: “Gwyneth thinks she [Dakota] is lovely. She gets on very well with her and is happy for Chris.”

The source also said Gwyneth and Dakota “have a very nice friendship,” and “the kids really like Dakota and enjoy spending time with her.”
