Felicity Huffman reports to prison to serve sentence for college admissions scandal

Actress Felicity Huffman reported to a federal prison in Northern California today.

The Desperate Housewives star will serve a 14 day sentence for her part in the college admissions scandal.

The Oscar nominee will also have to pay a fine of $30,000 and perform 250 hours of community service as part of her sentence.

The actress admitted to paying to have her child’s college admission exam score boosted.

“Ms. Huffman is prepared to serve the term of imprisonment Judge Talwani ordered as one part of the punishment she imposed for Ms. Huffman’s actions,” her spokesperson said, in a  statement to NBC News.

“She will begin serving the remainder of the sentence Judge Talwani imposed — one year of supervised release, with conditions including 250 hours of community service — when she is released.”

Actress Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli were also implicated in the scandal.

Lori has pleaded not guilty.
