Taylor Swift took to Tumblr over the weekend, to call out music manager Scooter Braun.
The singer expressed her disgust at the fact that the manager now owns a significant back catalog of her music, after he acquired her former record label Big Machine Label Group.
Justin Bieber lashed out at her criticism, saying: “What were you trying to accomplish by posting that blog?”
“Seems to me like it was to get sympathy u also knew that in posting that your fans would go and bully scooter.”
Fans now think that Taylor confirmed long-circulating rumours that Justin cheated on Selena Gomez, after she liked a particularly cutting response from a follower to Justin’s post.
“‘We haven’t gotten to communicate our differences.’ You cheated on her best friend and then publicly sided with the man who made revenge porn against her was she supposed to invite you over for tea??? F–k outta here,” one Tumblr user wrote, citing a line from Bieber’s post and referring to Taylor’s upset at Kanye using her nude image in a music video.
The user later uploaded a screenshot which appears to show Taylor liking the comment.
“Oh she’s MAD mad,” they captioned the screen shot.
Justin dated Taylor’s bestie Selena from 2009. They broke up in 2014, before rekindling their romance in 2017 but then splitting up for good.
Bieber previously sparked rumours that he cheated on Gomez after an interview with i-D about their relationship.
“Because then, it’s like trust and all this other stuff that starts messing with your mind. You’re on the road. And there are beautiful women on the road. And you’re just getting yourself into trouble,” he said at the time.
