Selena Gomez has spent almost a decade working to bring 13 Reasons Why to the small screen with her mother.
And the cast of the Netflix show chatted to LAGoss.com about what it was like to work with the superstar singer and actress.
“Selena’s great!” Alisha Boe, who plays Jessica, told us. “This is a passion project for her so she’s been involved with this for years now – since 2008. So she just wants what’s best for the show which I’m very grateful for.

“And as a boss she’s awesome! She’s very down-to-earth, she’s really sweet and she’s easy to be comfortable around which I think is the most important thing as an executive producer.”
Devin Druid portrays Tyler in the show, and said the star was “just the best” on set, putting so much work into making 13 Reasons Why the best it could be.
“She’s so amazing,” he told us. “She’s so talented and so passionate about what we’ve put together. And it was really eye-opening and really enlightening to see how much she cared about it and how much she put into it.”
Brandon Larracuente, who plays Jeff Atkins, said Selena made it “a wonderful experience”, and Christian Navarro, who plays Tony, agreed that it was “a pleasure” to work with the star and her mother Mandy Teefey.
“She’s one of the kindest, smartest people I’ve met,” he revealed. “She’s very giving with that information and that knowledge, and I just try and soak it up when I’m around her or her mother Mandy, who is just so intelligent.”
Earlier this month, Tommy Dorfman (Ryan Shaver on the show) told us Selena was “great”, adding, “She’s super humble and supportive and all around a calming person to be around, so when she was on set it was great having her there.”
