Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi’s legal controversies to be explored in new documentary

A new documentary on Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi’s legal controversies is coming to Hulu this month.

The Real Housewives of Beverley Hills star filed for divorce from the 82-year-old attorney on November 3 last year, after nearly 21 years of marriage.

A month after their shocking split, Tom and Erika were sued for allegedly using their divorce to embezzle money.

In December, Tom and his law firm Girardi & Keese (GK) were held in civil contempt over allegedly embezzling funds from several families who lost loved ones in a 2018 Boeing plane crash – and had their assets frozen by a judge.

Ahead of Tom’s court appearance on June 9, a teaser for the ABC News Originals documentary entitled ‘The Housewife and the Hustler’ been released.

The documentary, which premieres on Hulu on June 14, will feature interviews with former Housewives cast members, legal experts, and those accusing Tom of embezzlement.

It will also feature voicemail messages, court records and a never-before-aired deposition tape of Tom.

In the teaser, one legal expert says: “Tom Girardi was L.A. law — so powerful,” while another adds: “They were just blowing money left and right, but then…”

Headlines of the accusations are then shown on screen, before actress Heather McDonald asks: “I think the biggest question is: Did she know?”

It comes after the latest episode of the RHOBH teased how Erika’s co-stars learned of her divorce.

In a teaser at the end of Season 11 Episode 3, Kyle Richards read a group text and then FaceTimed fellow housewives Lisa Rinna and Dorit Kemsley.

Dorit asked: “What is going on? Did you have any idea?” to which Kyle replied: “No idea!”

“It’s Erika,” Lisa explained. “She had to do it like this. She couldn’t tell anybody.”
