Emily Ratajkowski speaks out against female sexuality stigma

Emily Ratajkowski has spoken out against the stigma women can face for embracing their sexuality.

The model turned lingerie and swimwear guru has addressed the double standards she faces as a business woman who isn’t afraid to look sexy in a photo.

“The initial reaction when you post a sexy photo is, ‘Oh my god, naked again, she’s so stupid, you have nothing else to offer'”  she told The irish Sun newspaper.

“And I’m like, ‘Actually, no. I’m running a business off of this.’ It’s just part of branding.”

“It’s funny to think of those white older men in suits being like, ‘Oh no, we don’t take her seriously’ and we’re making more money than them. I love that.”

“It’s crazy that in 2019 it’s still a stigma. For that to still be a thing is wild to me.”

“To me, female sexuality and sexiness, no matter how conditioned it may be by a patriarchal ideal, can be incredibly empowering for a woman,” she continued to The Irish Sun.

“The way I dress, act, flirt, dance, have sex Â… those are my decisions and they shouldn’t be impacted by men.”

“Being sexy is fun and I like it. I should never have to apologise for that.”
