Elle Fanning has admitted that she fainted at a Cannes Film Festival event on Monday night, because her dress was “too tight”.
The 21-year-old told fans about her health scare on Instagram, and explained that it was her time of the month.
Posting a selfie, Elle told her followers: “Oops, had a fainting spell tonight in my 1950’s Prada prom dress but it’s all good.”
The actress added the hashtags #dresstootight and #timeofthemonth.
According to Variety, the Maleficent star fainted at the Chopard Trophee dinner, while Festival director Thierry Fremaux was introducing actor Francois Civil onstage.
Elle suddenly collapsed and fell off her chair, but thankfully her famous sister Dakota was there to help her up – and the pair were swiftly escorted out.
