E! to delay Oscars coverage to avoid broadcasting confrontations about the sexual harassment allegations made against Ryan Seacrest

E! is apparently attempting to delay their broadcast from the Oscars red carpet to avoid confrontation about the sexual harassment allegations made against Ryan Seacrest.

Sources have reported to SPIN that the broadcast will be delayed by 30 seconds to give the production staff a chance to cut away from awkward comments about the accusations.

However a spokesperson from E! said this was not the case and told SPIN it was ‘business as usual’. Going on to explain that ‘as always, we tape multiple sources of content simultaneously to deliver the best possible show, and there are often brief delays between interviews’.

Suzy Hardy was let go when she went to human resources at E! and disclosed what Ryan had subjected her to. The single mother worked as his stylist for six years, from 2007 to 2013, and had delayed going to HR for fear of losing her job, a fear that was realised.

A witness came out during the week to back up the harrowing harassment Hardy alleged Ryan committed. More details about the alleged incidents of sexual abuse can be found here.
