Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has opened up about his battle with depression which began at the young age of 15 after he witnessed his mother try to commit suicide.

Speaking to The Express, the Hollywood superstar spoke of how “Struggle and pain is real.”

He goes on to say “I was devastated and depressed.”

The former world wrestling champion talks about how bleak his situation got before he turned it around.

“I reached a point where I didn’t want to do a thing or go anywhere. I was crying constantly.”

“That was my absolute worst time.”

The Rampage actor’s mother got out of his car on the motorway and ran into oncoming traffic before he pulled hr back in to the hard shoulder.

His mother has no recollection of the incident.

“We both healed but we’ve always got to do our best to pay attention when other people are in pain,” he believes.

“We have to help them through it and remind them they are not alone.”

The coolest dude in Hollywood opening up about depression is sure to do great things for the stigma surrounding men opening up about their mental health and he has already publicly supported fans going through tough times.
