Dorit Kemsley recalls begging ‘for my life’ in first interview since armed robbery

Dorit Kemsley has recalled begging “for my life” in her first interview since her house was burgled by armed robbers.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was held at gunpoint during a home invasion last month, while her husband PK was away in London and the couple’s two young children were asleep in their rooms.

Speaking to Extra about the terrifying ordeal, the 45-year-old said: “First of all, I was completely taken off guard. They were surprised to see me at home… When they did, they pushed me to the ground. They said, ‘Who else is in the home?’”

“There was someone else who said, ‘Just kill her, just kill her already, just kill her,’ and all I could think of, ‘I have to save those babies.’ I begged them, I begged for my life, and begged for their life.”

Dorit continued: “I said, ‘I don’t care about any of it, take it all. You can have it all. Please, I’m a mother of babies. Please, they need me. Please don’t hurt me.’”

“I stayed very calm because I knew they were very panicked and if I didn’t, the situation could have gone a lot worse. I fought for mine and my kids’ lives, and I got lucky… My kids didn’t wake up and they don’t know anything about it.”

The reality star admitted she was still struggling to come to terms with what happened, adding: “The panic attacks are coming… And feeling safe? How am I ever going to feel safe again? How do I protect my children?… I’m going through all of that.”

Dorit is back filming for the new season of the RHOBH, and said her co-stars have been “beyond supportive”.

It comes after Dorit opened up about the robbery in a statement shared via Instagram last month.

She wrote at the time: “As you all know by now I have been through a terrifying ordeal, one that no parent or person should ever have to experience. I’ve received so many messages of love and support and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. It’s truly overwhelming.”

“My kids are unaware of what happened, they slept through it and I thank God for keeping my kids and myself from being physically harmed. My family now needs to start the healing process.”

“I have thrown myself into work as I want our family to return to normality as soon as possible. With the love and support of my husband, my incredible family, friends, fans and followers, I am confident this is the right thing to do whilst I independently work with through the trauma.”

“I’m so grateful to the LAPD for their care and attention. Thank you again for all your support.”

The Beverly Beach founder added in the caption: “More than anything, I’m feeling blessed that my kids and family are safe. Truly grateful for the messages of love and support from you all who have reached out.”

It’s understood the intruders ransacked the house for about 20 minutes, stealing all of the 45-year-old’s jewellery and handbags.
